A Tribute Through Humanity: 120 Units Donated in Blood Camp at Pingalwara Manawala

In Manawala branch of All India Pingalwara Charitable Society (Regd.), Amritsar, a grand blood donation camp was organized on the occasion of the 33rd death anniversary of Pingalwara’s founder, Bhagat Puran Singh Ji. On this occasion, Dr. Kunwar Vijay Pratap Singh, M.L.A., graced the event as the chief guest.

Dr. Inderjit Kaur, the Chief Sevadar of Pingalwara, welcomed the chief guest, and children presented him with flowers. While addressing the gathering, Dr. Inderjit Kaur shared that every year on Bhagat Ji’s death anniversary, a large blood donation camp is organized with the support of Guru Nanak Dev Hospital, Amritsar, and Sri Guru Ram Das University of Health Sciences, Amritsar.

She informed that today, with great enthusiasm, 120 units of blood were collected. She emphasized that everyone should contribute as much as possible to blood donation camps. Blood donation is a noble act for those in need, and by donating blood, we can give the gift of life. She added that the collected blood is provided to unclaimed and needy patients when required.

She also mentioned that Pingalwara’s volunteers, Rana Palwinder Singh Daburji, Sahibzada Jujhar Singh Gurmat College Chaunta Sahib, Sri Guru Ram Das Blood Donation Society Amritsar and many kind hearted people also donated blood in large number every year.

A special highlight of the event was that Dr. Kunwar Vijay Pratap Singh chief guest himself donated blood at the camp. He stated that blood donation is a great act of humanity and people should not hesitate to donate. Mr. Rajinder Singh Mehta, General Secretary of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, also donated blood on this occasion.

An exhibition of artworks of Pingalwara student was also held. Schools run by Pingalwara—Bhagat Puran Singh Adarsh Sen. Sec. School, Bhagat Puran Singh School for the deaf, Bhagat Puran Singh Special School Manawala, Prosthetic Limb Center, Vocational Center, and Physiotherapy Center—also displayed their art work.
