CME and Live Cochlear Implant Surgery was carried out in Pingalwara Manawala Complex on 16th & 17th Feb., 2013. The CME was attended by over 200 ENT Specialists from the Region. The Live Cochlear Implant Surgery was performed on 3 yrs old Deaf girl Amanpreet Kaur by team led by Padam Shri Awardee Dr. JM Hans along with Dr. Jagdeepak Singh and Dr. Kulwant Kaur from Govt. Medical College, Amritsar. Cost of one implant is approx. 7.5 lac. S. Bhagwant Singh Dilawari Retd. IFS presided over the CME and Mr Rajat Aggarwal IAS. Deputy Commissioner Amritsar was the guest of honor on this solemn occasion. This is the third Cochlear implant in Pingalwara.
