Bhagat Puran Singh 24th Barsi Celebrations
Dedicated to Bhagat Puran Singh 24th Barsi Celebrations, the programme commenced with inauguration of free Cancer and Medical checkup Camp at Manawala Branch of Pingalwara. During the Camp Mammography & Pep Test were conducted for the patients. In addition free ECG and Blood Sugar Tests were also conducted. ENT, Eye, Dental, Homeopathic and medical specialists attended to the patients. The camp was inaugurated by Dr. B.S. Bal Principal Government Medical College Amritsar. During the camp free Medicines were given to the patients.
Medical Camp was followed by a CME on Cancer where Eminent Cancer Specialists Dr. Shamit Chopra Director Patel Head & Neck Cancer Hospital Jalandhar, Dr. Gurjeet Singh, Dr. Pooja Singh from SGRD explained to the gathering about the need of early detection of Cancer and its timely treatment. All of them explained that if timely diagnosed then there is ample chance of Survival of the patients.
The audience was explained the various causes and treatment methods of cancer. Nursing students from CKD International college of Nursing, Royal College of Nursing and Eminent Faculty from Govt. Medical College, Amritsar and Sri Guru Ramdass Medical College of Amritsar attend the CME.
The camp was attended by Dr. Inderjit Kaur, Dr. Jagdeepak Singh ENT Specialist, Dr. Inderjit Kaur Renu Eye Specialist, S. Mukhtar Singh Hony. Secy, S. Rajbir Singh, Col. Darshan Singh Bawa Administrator, S. Jai Singh, Sh. Tilak Raj, S. Bakhshish Singh (Retd. DSP).
