To commemorate the 550 Parkash Purab of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji
A meeting of different organization, Associations, Sewa Societies and experts along with workers in the field of Handicraft attended a meeting in the main office of the Pingalwara. Pingalwara Society is organsing a “Craft and Cultural Festival” from 29 July to 2 August 2018 at Urban Haat (Old Guru Tegh Bahadur Hospital). The Main objective of the fair is to promote awareness among the society to pay the highest respect to the craft workers and to promote sale of Craft items made by these workers. The programme also includes honoring of craft workers during this festival. The different speakers highlighted the importance of the craftworkers in the prosperity of the country and society. It is an effort to promote the heritage and handicraft of the country.
Dr Inderjit Kaur while addressing participants emphasized that 550th Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s Birthady is being celebrated in a unique and different way because Guru Nanak Dev Ji preached us to earn by the sweat of brow, remember Him (Naam) and share with the needy. She reminded everyone that this Kirti mela is also an homage to Bhai Lalo Ji. All participants assured that they will ensure all out efforts to make this festival a grand success.
