The Bhagat Puran Singh Pingalwara Institution, Manawala Branch, recently welcomed a students pursuing their Master in Social Work (MSW) from Kurukshetra University for their practical training program.
During their training period, the students actively engaged with various activities and initiatives of Pingalwara. They observed and participated in the institution’s service to the underprivileged, including care for the sick, differently-abled, and abandoned individuals. The hands-on experience provided them with deep insights into the values of selfless service, compassion, and human dignity, which form the foundation of Pingalwara’s work as envisioned by Bhagat Puran Singh Ji.
The students also had the opportunity to interact with the staff and residents, gaining practical knowledge of community care, social work methods, and institutional management. This real-life exposure is expected to enrich their academic learning and inspire them to carry forward the spirit of social responsibility in their future careers.
