Inauguration of Bhagat Puran Singh Ward at Shri Guru Ramdas Charitable Hospital

As part of the ongoing series of programs dedicated to the 32nd death anniversary of Bhagat Puran Singh ji, the All India Pingalwara Charitable Society (Regd.), Amritsar, in collaboration with the Shiromani Gurduwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC), has inaugurated a special ward at the Shri Guru Ramdas Charitable Hospital, Amritsar, in the name of Bhagat Puran Singh ji.

This ward, designed to care for unclaimed or abandoned patients, is fully equipped with medical care, medicines, clothing, food, caretakers, and all the essential services needed to provide comfort and dignity to those in need. The ward was formally inaugurated by S. Harjinder Singh Dhami, President of the SGPC, following prayers and a recitation of Japji Sahib and Sukhmani Sahib by the Pingalwara family and hospital staff.

A Tribute to Bhagat Puran Singh Ji

Speaking at the occasion, Dr. Inderjit Kaur, President of Pingalwara, expressed her gratitude and emphasized the significance of this day. She shared that the establishment of the Bhagat Puran Singh ji Ward at Shri Guru Ramdas Charitable Hospital is an auspicious and meaningful gesture to honor the legacy of Bhagat Puran Singh ji, who dedicated his life to serving the poor, sick, and abandoned. Dr. Inderjit Kaur highlighted that the Pingalwara organization has been committed to caring for abandoned patients for many years and is now working to establish wards in various hospitals across the region in Bhagat Puran Singh ji’s name.

About the New Ward

The newly inaugurated ward will accommodate 20 beds specifically for unclaimed or abandoned patients, offering them not only medical treatment but also essential care and attention. The facility will ensure that these patients, often left without proper care or support, receive the compassionate treatment they deserve.
