Bhagat Puran Singh Ji’s 21st Death Anniversary Celebrations, commenced from 1st Aug., 2013. On 1st and 2nd Aug., cancer detection camp was organized by ROKO CANCER Foundation. Total of 550 patients were examined in this camp.
On 3rd Aug., 2013 blessing of Waheguru were invoked by starting Sri Akhand Path at Main Branch of Pingalwara. This was followed by Blood Donation Camp for the residents of Pingalwara. There was enthusiastic response to this camp. A number of Blood Donation societies, students and youth came forward to donate blood on this solemn occasion. Total of 250 units of blood were collected on this auspicious occasion. S. Inderbir Singh Bularia Chief Parliament Secy. Punjab Govt., participated in the Blood Donation Camp. An exhibition of Handicrafts made by Pingalwara residents was also organised on this occasion, which was inaugurated by Ms. Ritu Aggarwal wife of DC Amritsar.
On 4th Aug 2013 a Cultural Programme was organized by School Children of Pingalwara and the Book ‘Pyar diyan Tandan’ written by Dr. Inderjit Kaur was released by Dr. Jairup Singh Vice Chancellor Central University Bathinda.
On 5th Aug 2013 Bhog Akhand Path took place at the Main branch and sadh Sangat in great numbers assembled. A number of eminent speakers paid tribute to the selfless service of Bhagat Puran Singh Ji. 101 yrs old International Marathon Runner S. Fauja Singh also attended the celebration and donated 2 lacs to Pingalwara Society.
