Republic Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Bhagat Puran Singh Adarsh School Manawala Complex on 26 Jan 2013.
On this solemn occasion, the function started with March-past and School Band. School children from all the schools participated in the March-past. The national flag was unfurled by 101 years Veteran Marathon runner Fauja Singh and he took the salute of the march past. While addressing the school students, he mentioned that he feels rejuvenated whenever he is in the midst of children. On his coming to Pingalwara, he feels that he has come in the home of GOD. He mentioned that most of his run all over the world have been for the charity. He has attained this honor to his simple diet, controlled life style, simple habits and faith in Almighty GOD. The March-past was followed by a colourful cultural programme by the school children.
Dr. Inderjit kaur congratulated S. Fauja singh on his achievements and expressed the hope that small children will get the inspiration from him.
