Deputy Commissioner of Amritsar Visited Pingalwara

TMr. Ghanshyam Thori visited at Pingalwara

On the 21st of March 2024, the All India Pingalwara Charitable Society (Reg.) Amritsar, Manawala Branch received a special visit from Mr. Ghanshyam Thori, the Deputy Commissioner of Amritsar, along with his colleagues. Dr. Inderjit Kaur, Mukh Sewadar, and members of the Pingalwara Society warmly welcomed them.

During the interaction with the press, Mr. Ghanshyam Thori shared his heartfelt sentiments about his longstanding association with Bhagat Puran Singh and the Pingalwara organization. He expressed his deep admiration for Bhagat Ji’s personality and his remarkable contributions to society. Mr. Thori recalled his initial encounter with Pingalwara during his tenure as an IAS trainee in Amritsar, and later visits to the Sangrur branch when he served as the Deputy Commissioner there.

Mr. Thori emphasized that the name of Bhagat Puran Singh Ji has left an indelible mark on his mind, and he continues to be inspired by Bhagat Ji’s selfless service ethos. He highlighted that the path of service requires no specific belief system; instead, the positive outcomes of service are immediately evident.

Responding to a question, Mr. Thori reiterated his commitment to continue visiting Pingalwara, citing it as a guiding light for humanity’s service. Dr. Inderjit Kaur also shared her appreciation for Mr. Thori’s dedication to humanitarian causes, emphasizing his high moral principles and commitment to serving humanity.

During the visit, Mr. Thori toured various facilities at Pingalwara, including the Prosthetic Centre and Spinal Cord Injury Center, where he commended the ongoing efforts and initiatives.

Among those present at the occasion were Dr. Jagdeepak Singh, Vice President, Sr. Rajbir Singh, Society Member, Parminderjit Singh Bhatti, Dr. Amarjit Singh Gill, Jai Singh, Gurnaib Singh, Narendrapal Singh Sohal, Yogesh Suri, and many others, who joined in commemorating the legacy of Bhagat Puran Singh Ji and celebrating the noble work being carried out at Pingalwara.
