Dr. Inderjit Kaur inaugurates Bhagat Puran Singh Ward for the treatment and care of destitute patients
For the treatment and care of destitute and abandoned patients, Dr. Inderjit Kaur inaugurated the “Bhagat Puran Singh Ward” at Dr. B. R. Ambedkar State Institute of Medical Sciences (AIMS) along with the attached Civil Hospital, Phase 6, Mohali.
This ward, dedicated to the treatment and care of destitute patients, has been established through a joint initiative of the All India Pingalwara Charitable Society (Regd.), Amritsar, and the Patient Welfare Society (Regd.), AIMS Mohali. The inauguration ceremony was held in Room No. 212, Second Floor, Block–1, AIMS Mohali.
On this occasion, Director-Principal Dr. Navdeep Saini, Medical Superintendent Dr. Manish Gupta, Senior Medical Officers Dr. H.S. Cheema and Dr. Parminderjit Singh, along with Nursing Superintendent Sukhwinder Kaur, warmly welcomed Dr. Inderjit Kaur.
Following the recitation of Japji Sahib and Ardas, Dr. Inderjit Kaur addressed the gathering and urged all present to carry forward the mission of Bhagat Puran Singh. She emphasized the importance of environmental protection, water conservation, and adopting cloth bags instead of plastic.
To mark the upcoming Environmental Protection Centenary (1927–2027), she also planted a sapling at AIMS Mohali.
Representatives from Pingalwara’s Amritsar and Palsora (Chandigarh) branches, including Gulshan Ranjan (Medical Social Worker), Mahinder Singh (In-charge, Palsora Branch), Harish Chand Gulati, Dalwinder Singh, Gurpreet Kaur, and Harpal Singh (Medical Social Worker), were present.
From AIMS Mohali, Dr. Nidhi Malhotra, Dr. Karanbir Singh, Dr. Amit Aggarwal, Dr. Ashwani Gupta, Dr. Manpreet Singh, Arshpreet Singh, Gurpreet Singh, Jaspreet Kaur, Paurvi Bhardwaj, Gagandeep Singh, Lovepreet Singh, Anil Kumar, and others also attended the event.
