Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Inderbir Singh Nijjar said that the humanitarian service being carried out by Bhagat Puran Singh Ji and Dr. Inderjit Kaur, Mukh Sewadar of Pingalwara, is unparalleled. He emphasized that if we truly love humanity, we must also love and protect the environment. He warned that if humans continue to exploit nature recklessly, they will ultimately jeopardize their own existence. Expressing gratitude to the guests,Dr. Inderjit Kaur, Mukh Sewadar of Pingalwara*, stated that as early as 1927, Bhagat Puran Singh Ji had begun warning society about the future degradation of the environment. The concerns he raised at that time are proving true today, yet humanity is still not giving the issue the serious attention it deserves. She observed that modern society has become increasingly obsessed with wealth and power.
She also sought a pledge from the audience that, in recognition of Bhagat Puran Singh Ji’s concern for environmental protection, a commemorative coin should be released during the centenary celebrations dedicated to environmental awareness. She reiterated that Pingalwara has always worked and prayed for the welfare of all humanity.
